Help to shape the next generation of qualifications in Wales 👩‍🏫

New pilot programme underway

Sweet Education is pleased to share an update with centres across Wales as development continues on our brand-new teaching and learning resources to support the Pearson Skills for Life and Skills for Work qualifications.

The first phase of Sweet's pilot programme is now underway, with initial units shared with centres across the country who volunteered to review and trial the resources.

Phase 1: Ongoing activity

A huge number of centres are currently reviewing early versions of the resources and sharing feedback with the Sweet development team.

Schools involved in the pilot are providing feedback on areas such as:

  • Learner engagement

  • Accessibility of the content

  • Clarity of instructions and activities

  • Suitability for different learners

  • Ease of delivery for teachers

This feedback will help inform the ongoing development of teaching and learning materials that will support delivery of the new qualifications.

Phase 2: Invitation to more schools

Sweet Education is now inviting additional schools across Wales to take part in the next phase of the pilot programme after the Easter holidays.

Centres who take part will have the opportunity to:

  • Review early versions of teaching resources

  • Provide feedback to support further development

  • Help shape materials designed to support delivery of the Pearson Skills for Life and Skills for Work qualifications

Participation does not require large cohorts, and centres can review resources with small groups of learners before sharing feedback with the development team.

Schools interested in taking part in the next phase of the pilot programme are encouraged to get in touch. To register your interest or find out more, please contact: development@sweet.education
